The past few months have been very busy (which is great), and we added another member to our web design team. The web hosting picked up a lot - although we had some problems with UK2NET, the company that manage our server hardware and software. 24 hours without a repsonse, when a ticket is marked 'critical', is just unacceptable. So, we started testing other providers and, thankfully, found one we liked. They're a little more expensive, but hey, you get what you pay for right?. When it comes to servers, fast, reliable support is key. I should say that since these incidents, UK2 have been better, so I'm hoping they keep it together, as the rest of their service is fantastic.


Web Designer Forum
I've also recently put together a new Web Designer forum. Parts of it are still being built, but all the important stuff is in there and are working. So feel free to sign up here: uk-web-designer.net

I'm also opening it up to allow everyone to advertise on it. At the moment there's just adwords ads on there, but there'll eventually be space for custom image adverts, probably through buysellads.

Web Design work
ConsumerNet work is going well: I'm building more feeder sites for them and the NHS and their other partners. They've decided to put more focus on claiming back PPI Charges rather than claiming credit card charges and store card charges (However, they are still accepting applications for people who want to claim back credit card charges).

Two years in the making, but I've completed the website for IA Computing Ltd. It's a complete site re-design. It's bit more colourful than the old IA Computing website, and I've also performed search engine optimisation (SEO) and lowered the loading times.

I've written a couple more Javascript Tutorials. The first details how to create javascript confirmation dialogue boxes. The second shows you how to prevent form submissions when users press the "Enter" key.

I have been designing an audio site in my spare time. I've got all the music I'm not doing anything with, so I figured I'd put together a site to sell it on. When the site launches it will be just my music - but I hope to expand it so that other people can sell their audio on my site.

Work on the ConsumerNet website continues. These guys are doing really well - 450,000 page views in 4 months. Their site allows people to claim back charges on things like credit cards and Payment Protection Insurance - without submitting their credit card data online. They're honest guys providing a great service - so I happy to continue working on their site. I also made a advertisement tracking application for them - so that they can tell where their customers come from a pay their affiliates according to how many succesfull applications were made on their site.

I finally got round to redesigning this site. The thing is, I had so many other things I wanted to build first - but I finally made some time to put together this (rather basic) site. It looks a lot better than the old one. I've still got a few more tutorials to add yet - so sorry for any dead links - I'm building it as and when I get a few minutes each day. But, give it a couple of weeks or so and all the tutorials should be up and ready to view.
